What Causes Abdominal Pain, Cramping, Urinary Retention With Rectal Bleeding?

My girlfirend experienced abdominal pain/cramping (not on her period, just finished about a week ago) Yesterday all day she felt like she needed to pee was unable to except for small trickles. Twice she was able to have a better urine movement, but still not complete. She feels nauceus, but has not vomited yet. This morning after spending ten minutes on the commode, she produced a small amount of feces containing blood.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your girlfriend and understood the concerns.
Difficulty in passing urine and also of stool may be due to the following reasons:
Infection of the urinary tract and gastrointestinal tract too.
These can occur together.
Hence I would advise you friend the following:
Attend the ER services so that a proper clinical evaluation and examination can be done and to undergo necessary investigations like that of stool, urine and blood.
In blood investigations doing CBC, kidney functions, Electrolytes can do wonders.
These will give a proper diagnosis so that an appropriate management can be done in the form of an antibiotic, metronidazole and probiotics.
Additional symptomatic and supportive treatment will helps further with electrolyte solution, antispasmodic and so on.
Needs to take plenty of oral fluids.
I find this answer helpful
