Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. The incision given while performing the surgery cuts several nerves and this is the cause for diminished sensation at the site of the incision. As the wound recovers, so do the severed nerve endings to a maximum extent, returning the sensation. The gastric discomfort may be unrelated to the surgery and more related to the untimely meals she may be having owing to the baby care. The pain should be evaluated properly by your consultant. A sonogram of the abdomen would often help. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
