What Causes Abdominal Pain And Blood Clot Discharge After An Abortion?

Hi, From past 3 days, i am having slight intermittent pain in abdomen with regular small blood clots coming out. There is no bleeding at all just the small clots. I have had an abortion in December first week. I got periods in the 1st Jan and lasted for 4 days. I have PCOD since 3 years however did not have irreular periods for a long time now. Now these clots. Please suggest.

Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
You had abortion in December.. followed by a normal period after a month ( January ) & following few regular periods, you are complaining of pain in abdomen & small clots since 4 days.I don't think it's due to abortion in DEcember.This can be-
- Physical or psychological exertion causing temporary menstrual problem
- Repeat conception with threatened abortion
- Due to PCOD ( your old complaint ).. which is known to cause menstrual irregularities in between,
- Some other menstrual problem ( ovarian , thyroid problem or fibroid uterus ).. which need investigations.
* I would advise to consult a gynecologist for a detailed examination & necessary investigations to find exact cause followed by specific treatment,
to relieve you of the problem,
