What Causes Abdominal Pain After A Laprascopic Appendectomy?

Hi - our 11 year old son had a laprascopic appendectomy 12 days ago. Today he spent the better part of the afternoon wrestling around with his 30 lb 3 year old cousin. Tonight he complained of pain in his abdomen which he said was a 7 on a scale of 1-10. I pressed slightly around his abdomen area and one area (i believe you'd say right quadrant; it was to his right right of his belly button) was tender. Hecwinced when I touched it. Should we be concerned about something like internal bleeding? He's since fallen asleep. He was able to eat this evening, walk, etc. His breathing seems normal. I'm assuming we don't need to take him to the ER tonight but wanted to check. Thanks!
