What Causes Abdomen Pain During Pregnancy?

I am 29 weeks pregnant. I lifted something a little heavy. A few weeks ago and a spot in my upper right abdamon started hurting later. After that it would hurt after a long walk or end of day. Now for 2 days it almost doesnt stop hurting. Feels like a bruise inside and is in a very specific spot. Baby moves fine though.

Hallow Dear,

Pain in the abdomen during pregnancy is not a good sign. The pain arising after heavy weight lifting (which you should have avoided) could be a trauma to the uterus, placenta or muscle pull.

You have to have a correct diagnosis. Trauma to the uterus can be resulting in bleeding in the uterine muscles or could be bleeding in the uterus due to premature separation of placenta. It is progressive, hence can be dangerous to you and/r your baby. Ultrasonography scan will reveal the cause.

If it is muscular pain, it can be resolved by painkillers.

Please do not waste time. Report to your Obstetrician ASAP. Have complete bed rest. You may have to be admitted in the maternity hospital.

I hope you understand the gravity of the situation and rush to the Obstetrician.
