What Causes Abdomen Pain During Early Pregnancy?

Hi there, this isn t a very nice question to ask but I have just found out I am pregnant early days, I have started to get a really heavy pain in my abdomen I m not sure if it is anything to do with my bowels as today I had the awful pain when I was trying to push to go to the toilet but when I get it, it s really, really painful and it feels as tho everything has dropped almost in my lower abdomen, I have had it before and was worried that it could be a prolapse of some kind, that s the only thing I can put that dropping sensation down to but don t know as I have never had one before, I have told a nurse around a year ago but she didn t seem to take me seriously, I had the pain around an hour ago and am alot better now but as soon as I had it I had to come to bed to lie down.

hi,prolapse is a painless condition so the pain cant be related to that.having pain in early pregnancy can be sign of threatened abortion which means at increased risk of miscarriage.other causes can be due to constipation or incomplete bowel emptying.in case you have constipation problem you have to prevent it by drinking min 10 -12 glasses of water and eat green leafy veg and salads and fruits.still if you have bowel problem start with syp cremaffin 2 tsf at bedtime as constipation I early pregnancy can increase risk for abortion.and take adequate rest avoid lifting any weight and coitus.dont worry all will be fine.all the best.
