What Causes A White Patch On The Tongue?

I check My mouth regulerly but noticed a shrivled white patch on my tongue (not hard) or sore. It seemed to pop up in minutes and went away for the most part in a couple hours. Ive seen pics of oral cancer as well as leukoplacuia and it dosent look like either. can cancer come up that quick and then go away?

Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain a white patch over the tongue does not seems to be cancer and seems to be commonly due to oral fungal infection known as Oral Thrush..
It can occur due to a number of causes like poor immunity in diabetes taking antibiotics and steroids, dry mouth etc..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and in case of thrush oral anti-fungal medications like Nystatin mouthwash, anti-fungal lozenges and taking probiotic capsules as well as natural probiotics like Yoghurt can help..
