I have been on the combined pill for 5 years now without a problem. However, some months ago I started with a brown discharge. I visited the Doctor and have had a smear and swabs taken on two different occasions and they have all come back clear. I was told not to worry as it is always in the same 5 days in the last week of my pill taking and that as long as there was no bleeding I didnt need to worry. Needless to say I still worried about it and the Doc has switched me onto the Mini pill - but a month into taking it and I am still having the same brown discharge. I am just looking for reassurance - thank you in anticipation of your help and advice.
