What Causes A Strong Vaginal Odor?

I have a strong vaginal odor, my boyfriend told me that it's not an uncleanliness odor but it's over powering, that he knows when I want to have sex because the smell gets stronger... My ex-husband just told me that it's been that why for as long as he can remember. What is it or were do I start to get ride of it?

I have gone through your query.Usually vagina has a musky smell,but not so unpleasant.Fishy like smell can come in Bacterial vaginosis.If you having that you are most likely having Bacterial Vaginosis.For my patients with such condition i treat with combination of antibiotics like metronidazole or clindamycin with clotrimazole in form of vaginal suppository or oral tab.I also recommend them to use intimate wash regularly to normalize vaginal bacterial flora and PH and there by prevent from getting further infections.Hope this may help you.
