What Causes A Solitary Pulmonary Nodule?

Excuse my English because I usually speak french. I a friend, 60 years old female, and she really is hypocondriac. She has a micro nodule to her lung (lower in the lung) of 2 mm! since this time, she believes that she has lung cancer. Also she s so afraid, that she asks her general doctor to have a CA125 test, which was negative 3 months ago. Is it possible that now, it will reveal an cancer. (specification: she never smoke a lot, just social smoker)
