What Causes A Recurring Red Blister On The Drained Abscess?

About a year ago I had an abscess drained. The doctor cut it open to let the fluid drain and then left the wound open to allow for any fluid to continue draining (meaning no packing or stitches). Ever since then I ve had recurring issues with scar. Over the year I ve had the scar change colors, I periodically will develope a lump underneath where the scar is which usually goes away in a week give or take. It has always been sensitive touch and at one point (about 5 months after the incision) burst open completely and had to re-heal. I hadn t had problems with it for a while until recently. It has turned into a sort of blood blister, just underneath the surface of the skin is a pouch of blood. It s like the entire cut turned into one blister. It is dark in color with the skin immediately surrounding it having a blue-ish color. I used alcohol to clean the area (which stung like fire) and then used a needle to drain it. What could this be?
