What Causes A Penis Head Swelling With Painful Foreskin Retraction?
Swelling on the head of Penis, redness around the foreskin, painfull to retract the foreskin. This happened to me about a year ago and doctor prescribed a few meds and lobate gm neo cream, it was a 5 day course and swelling was gone and so was the Whitish layer but it came back after some time. I drink very often and every time I do the swelling and white layer comes back around so I apply lobate gm and it goes off temporarily so I m looking for a more permanent solution. Preferably ayurvedic Thanks

Balanitis is caused due to sensitivity or allergy to harsh soaps or chemicals, STI, yeast infection, diabetes, poor hygiene. Yeast infections in men occur after having sexual intercourse with a female who has a vaginal yeast infection. You should keep your private area clean. Remove the smegma that gets accumulated under the foreskin as it may lead to infection.
Take regular bath and after cleaning the private area apply ointment clotrimazole. You can take a course of antifungal medicines (fluconazole) orally. If sexually active get STD tests done. If found positive you will be treated with antibiotics and antivirals.
If you are having recurrent symptoms then get examined by a Urologist you may be recommended circumcision. Balanitis basically occurs due to pitta and kapha imbalance. Ayurvedic medicines work but may take time to show improvement.
