What Causes A Pain On The Top Part Of The Shin Plate?
Hi , I have a got a pain top part of my shin plate in my right leg. When I touch that particular point it is really hurting. Also I can see a vein on top of the spot. I do walking every day for my daily exercises. When I walk it really hurts and the pain radates to down the shin plate. Seek advice
Hello there, Thank you for your question. The pain you have described could be due to one or more of the following reasons: 1) Injury to that part recently 2) Vitamin D deficiency 3) Varicose veins The pain can be brought down with some pain killers like DOLO 650. If it is Vitamin D deficiency then you need to take Vit D as powder form 60,000 units for 6-8 weeks, once a week. If its varicose veins then you may need to wear stockings throughout the day and keep your legs elevated when you sit. Try taking the pain killer and if the pain does not subside then please visit a physician who can examine you and suggest some stronger pain killers. Also your physician may advise some blood tests to confirm Vit D levels and Serum Calcium levels. It should come down in a day or two if its due to injury. Hope this helps. Take care.
