What Causes A Large Lump Right Below The Collar Bone?
My 13 month old granddaughter has a large lump right below her collarbone. It just appeared today in about 8 hours time. She was born with a small dimple in the same area when she was born, and it eventually became a flat area. What would make this grow so big in such a short period of time. What could this be?

Is there any history of fall? Is the lump painful or tender to touch? A sudden onset swelling near collar bone might suggest fracture if there was any history of fall or trauma. Kindly get it examined with your doctor. You may be asked for an X-ray. If there is pain, giving paracetamol might help.
