What Causes A Knot On The Injured Scar On Head With Headaches?

I fell out of a car right before my 3rd birthday. I am now 32 yrs old and I have a huge knot where i hit my head. it just showed up 2 months ago and is starting to cause headaches. Could it be calcium build up or something else? It is right on the scar where I hit my head years ago.

Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that it may be a remodulation of the scalp bone due to the inflammation related the trauma. Calcium depositation can not be excluded.
You should know that that age, the head bones are still being formed and the inflammation or a trauma can modify them. But there is nothing to worry about.

You can perform a brain CT scan to have a better examination of this region.

Hope to have been helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Aida
