What Causes A Feel Of Air Bubble In The Throat?

I get a feeling like an air bubble is coming up my throat and then I check my pulse while it is happening and it actually feels like my heart stops or skips a beat for a second my face turns red and my head gets very hot. It also makes me feel weak. Why does this keep happening?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms could be suggestive of anxiety. Anyway, before coming to this conclusion, I would recommend performing some tests:
- A chest X-ray study and pulmonary function tests
- Thyroid hormone levels for possible thyroid gland dysfunction
- A resting ECG.
You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
