What Causes A Circular Bruise On The Arm?

Hello, I have a circle dark black almost bruise looking mark on the inside of my right arm. It s raised and has a light pin point center that pale... I do not recall anything that could have caused it. As I have been in the hospital, my husband was ill, I was just visiting.. so I m puzzled. I also feel it s slightly larger than before.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a hematoma.

I recommend using cold compress or ice pack application for 20 to 30 minutes.

I also recommend using pain medication such as acetaminophen (Tylenol)

You can also use vitamin K cream for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
