What Causes A Bruise Down The Spine After A Bone Marrow Test?

I am having some low back pain, and discovered a rather large bruise on my back. The bruise starts at the top of my butt crack and goes down a good inch. I had a bone marrow test 3 weeks ago, didn t think the bruise has been there that long. The back pain is near the bruise but not right at the bruise.

Hi it is possible. Bone marrow biopsy is done with a wide needle and there could have been a puncture of a small blood vessel leading to a slow leak and bruising. It should settle down. If it does not, please go back to the doctor who performed the procedure--regards
