What Causes PVCs With Normal Heart On Echo?

Hi,
I had a heart ablation 1 yr ago and was put on rythmol...I recently started having pvcs 8,000 per day as per my H-Monitor. This continued for a period of 4 days....now I have maybe 5 per day. I had an Echo that showed a normal heart...should I be scared?

Hello dear, thanks for posting your query here.
As you have mentioned that you underwent some ablation in heart 1 year ago but you have not mentioned the type of ablation for.
But anyways, as you said you are taking rythmol and had PVCs, around 8000 per day but now reduced to 4 to 5 a day and your echo is normal, you should not worry much.
Every person on this planet gets few PVCs but it's only the PVCs burden which is important as if PVCs are very high that means if they are more than 10% of the total heart beats in a day, then there is a chance of developing reduced heart function.
So in your case, as you are having only to 5 VPCs per day, there is nothing to worry.
But still you see your doctor with your previous records of ablation to confirm that you do not need another ablation!!
I hope this would help you.
All the best
