What Caused Indentation In My Upper Right Thigh? Is It Permanent?

Hi, I noticed I have an indentation in my upper right thigh. No pain, no bruising or discoloration. I haven't injured or bumped against anything and I don't lean against anything with that area of the body. It's quite noticeable when I run my hand down my side. Can this be dangerous? Is this permanent?

Hello,
Thanks for your query.
Some related facts might be of help to you:
- There are some dents in the leg which normally appear after prolonged exercise. These are the normal muscular curves and can be ignored.
- Based on the level of activity, the dent will be more prominent in the more exerting leg.
- Thus the dominant limb has slightly more mass and curves (dents) than the non dominant one.
you need to meet with a plastic surgeon so he or she can examine you and feel the dent his or herself. If this depression is an area of little or no subcutaneous fat, fat grafting might be an option.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
