What Cause Severe Pain In The Ear With Yellowish Discharge?

i had a very severe ear pain sunday trough monday, than I began to drip nonstopping fluid yellow and somewhat orange looking for almost 2 and a half hour, I felt relief so I didn't go to the doc until tuesday he gave me some antibiotics but i'm still having almost the same problem, but something else appeared (static o bee "zum" noise, and i feel i can hear better when I have a cotton over the affected ear (not at all inside). If I sleep on the good ear side or up side it feels like the pressure coming back and it gives me pain again. the doc also said the canal seems good (no redness or anything, but sees a 'obstruction' in the drum area. When I was little I was operated from both ear. Does all of this mean I may have to be operated again?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand..

As per your complain it seems like inner ear infection as the canals seems fine and discharge from ears as well as buzzing sound or ringing in ears can be due to it..
You should consult an ENT Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough Otoscopic examination can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned..
For infection along with antibiotics, painkillers and decongestants and steroids you can also be advised to get tubes [grommets]places in ears for easy drainage and relieving pressure..
Complete drainage of infections fluid will also be done for faster relief from infection..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
