What Cause Coughing In The Morning With Tiny Brown Speck In It?
i have been paranaoid for the last 15 days ..........in my cough in the morning i am seeing a brown spc very tiny ....once every 4 to 5 days .....i went to gp my throat and x ray and blood tests are clear but still i am worried ......i wonder if it is blood then shud appear daily how can there be 5 to 7 day gaps ....i have no other symptoms of illness please advise......
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Specks of blood in sputum in the morning once in 5-7 days means there is inflammation and hence may be increased vasculature. GP may not diagnosed this properly, hence get an opinion of an ENT Surgeon for ENT endoscopy, CT scan of chest to rule out any chest infection, tuberculosis being a common cause. Get a course of an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and decongestant. If any specific cause is found Like tuberculosis or so, get treated properly. If nothing specific is found, do not worry as this will settle with proper medication.
