Hallow Dear, I-pill has a fairly good contraceptive effect as an emergency post coital contraceptive pill if taken within 72 hours of the unprotected sex. If you have taken the pills within that time, you need not be concerned about pregnancy. I-pill has some after effects: 1. Few days after taking the pills, some bleeding may occur. This bleeding stops of its own within a couple of days and needs no attention. 2. Periods following the consumption of the pills may be delayed by few days to a week or so. Therefore you need not be worried about delayed menses. If your menses are delayed for more than a week, you may confirm the pregnancy status by performing pregnancy test on overnight morning first urine sample or by Beta hCG test on the blood.
