What Can Be The Reason For The Severe Pain In The Back?

About a month ago, my lower back on the left side started to have a lot of pain...a lot more than I normally have (I am 6'5"). So I went to a chiropractor, and she said that my lower left back muscles have pretty much failed, and my middle left back muscles are in spasm from having to compensate. Well, she also took some xrays...and it shows that the left part of my, I am guessing L5, invertebrate has fused with my pelvis on the left side. The end result, the center of my pelvis...is an inch off center from my spine to the left, and my spine is curving to the right. Is this some kind of disease? Can it be fixed? Or is it something I will have to live with?

Hello,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are suffering from chronic backache. Looking to fusion of L5 to S1 it seems to be lumbar spondylosis. In normal course of disease sometimes fusion occurs. Rest in position of relief, Cartisafe D once daily, NUROKIND GOLD ONCE DAILY and analgesics (DICLOFENAC 100 MG SLOW RELEASE TABLETS) give relief. Sometimes vitamin D deficiency can aggravate this so serum vitamin D test is advised if it is low than vitamin D supplementation will be required. Avoid long continuous standing. Sit in a straight posture. Eat milk, fruits and green leafy vegetables daily. You need to done MRI TO RULE OUT other causes. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries
