What Can Be The Reason For Continuous Fever In Child?

Hi,I have 9 years daughter has fever 7 days .It comes to 103.5. I m controlling temp. with over the counter med. She also has coughing ,mild sour-throat. I went to primary care She made test for her throat it is negative. She gave her antibiotic Cephalexin 250mg 2tb /8 hours. .I gave her antibiotic for 24 hours now but still she has fever 101. what this could be....

Still this can be a viral illness, but as fever persists beyond 7 days, we need re-evaluation to rule out other causes like enteric fever. This needs few blood tests and urine analysis. Kindly discuss with your doctor.
