What Can I Do For Itchy Feel In Neck, Eyelid And Eyelobe?

It all started when I had a small (About the size of a toony) red spot on my neck. It was itchy so I scratched it ( I tried not to). Now the spot is increasing in size and its going down the sides of my neck. My mom thinks its eczema but I don t think that s what it is. Somedays, it will be flaky and other days, it will be just red and slightly wrinkly skin. I have no idea what this is but I am tired of it. It s embarrasing. I tried putting different types of creams on it but it doesn t work. The problem is, is that it s really itchy so I scratch it without even noticing. I want it to go away. I have this problem on the back of my neck, my eyelid and my earlobe but it s not as bad as my neck. Any ideas? Note: I just finished putting cream on it when I took that picture.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to eczema.

I suggest using antihistamines such as Cetirizine for the itching.

I also suggest using Calamine cream for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
