What Are The Uses Of Ovasafe Tablets?

Hi Doctor, I have irregular periods, off late I get it only after two months so consulted my doctor. She suggested me to take a few tests and on the same day itself she asked me to start taking ovasafe for 15 days, 2 tablets per day. I am not sure why? Is it okay to take ovasafe? What is the use of ovasafe?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Welcome to HCM and thank you for your query.
Ovasafe is a combination of vitamins, minerals and some other compounds the role of which are not very clear.
Your doctor has probably given you the medicine to keep you happy while she is trying to find out the real cause of your irregular periods. Ovasafe may not be harmful considering its components. But I really cannot find any benefit of it unless you have some deficiency of its components.
Once the cause ( like PCOS) is determined, you can be treated in a more effective way.
I shall be happy to answer if you have more queries.

Best wishes
Dr Noble Zachariah
