What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Navidoxine During Pregnancy?

I am 5 weeks pregnant and I just started getting nausea for the past 2 days. It is very discomforting. I try to refrain from vomiting as much as I can. I heard about a med called Navidoxine. Is it safe to take it now? How many pills should I be taking?

Hello,
Welcome to HCM and thanks for asking your question. I can understand your concern very well.

I would like to tell you that navidoxine is prescribed most commonly to prevent nausea and vomiting during pregnancy and its absolutely safe during pregnancy, so you need not to worry about it.

In pregnancy, nausea and vomiting are very common during 1st trimester and sometimes its almost difficult to control without medications, so doctors are now prescribing these kind of drugs prophylactically. You should take one pill a day and use only when you feel very nausea and vomiting, otherwise no need to take it continuously during whole pregnancy. You can stop it when you feel ok.

Hope this answers your question and let me know if you have any further relevant queries.
