What Are The Suggestions From The Blood Test Results?

MY blood test came back with monocytes abnormal high (13.2); RBC abnormal low (4.13) MCH abnormal high (34.6) and platelet at 222. WBC-6.23; and remainder in normal range. I am a 15 year cancer survivor and a parent who died of AML. Am I to be concerned with these numbers? Thanks for the response

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The percentage of monocyte is high however, the absolute monocyte count is within normal limits.
Thus, there is no monocytosis so nothing to worry.
The red blood count at 4.13 million/cubic millimeter, white blood cell count at 6230 per cubic millimeter and platelet count at 2.22 lakh per cubic millimeter are all within normal limits.
MCH is slightly elevated, however, what is the status of MCV and MCHC?
An isolated elevated MCH level does not signify any disease process.

Thanks and take care
