What Are The Small And Reddish Bumps On My Mons Pubis?
i have small, reddish, bumps on my mons pubis. They have a clear, white-ish cover on top, similar to a whitehead. i have tried to "pop" them and they just bleed. They do not hurt at all and are not itchy. I'm worried they are syphilis or genital warts or something. What do you think?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
After going through your query, I will keep a most likely possibility of Molluscum contagiosum. Molluscum lesions are asymptomatic, dome shaped, pearly white lesions; some of them may have a central umblication/pit. Molluscum is an STD and is caused by a virus called Molluscum Contagiosum Virus. Treatment is fairly simple and involves either needle extraction if there are only a few lesions Or Radiofrequency cautery and CO 2 Laser vaporization, if there are a lot many lesions. I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your region for a confirmatory diagnosis as well as appropriate treatment. It is better to get rid of the infection as soon as possible because it may spread to fom more lesions in the vicinity, by autoinnoculation.
