What Are The Signs Of Labor?

am I in early stages of labor and do I go to the hospital now? I'm 38 weeks tomorrow, baby's head is head down and is face to my back, been having pains for two weeks on and off, now got constant severe pain really bad, hurts and feels tightening in pelvis area, in my lower back, in my upper bum feels like I'm constipated but I'm not as already been and can't go anymore, lower tummy pain, can't stand still, I can't sit up or lay down properly, helps walking and laying on left side on my elbow, started 5 hours ago excruciating pain where I've explained above, lasted a little while, then back again an hour later much worse, now pain comes and goes more frequently and I'm to scared to move out of lying on left side position, pain still very painful but not as bad as standing up. Am I in Labour and do I need to go to hospital?

Hello
thanks for using health care magic

You definitely need to get to the hospital immediately unless you
had arranged for a home delivery. Alert signs in pregnancy include
severe abdominal pains that radiate to the back region, per vaginal
bleeding, fever, burst of water, severe headache. Once you get any
of these, you have to immediately get to the hospital.

At 38 weeks, you are already at term, implying your baby is already
mature and labor could come at any time.

You should immediately get to the hospital along side your delivery
material.

Best regards
Dr Achuo
