Hi Doctor, my doctor suggest me secnil forte. could you pl suggest side effect of this tab.

Secnil forte .. the active constituent is the drug secnidazole. It is an anti-amoebic drug. Main side effects are gastric disturbances , nausea, metallic taste in the mouth. This drug should NOT be taken if you are consuming alcohol, if you are on disulfiram,if you are on anticoagulants like warfarin, or if you have any blood disorders. Otherwise it is a relatively safe drug. Chances of gastric irritation will be less if you take the medication after food.
