What Are The Side Effects Of Risedronate?

I have been prescribed Risedronate Sodium Tablets for treatment of Paget s Disease by my doctor. I am considering not starting treatment with this medication due to it s many side effects. What other medication do you recommend for treatment of Paget s Disease? I am a 72 year old female.

Side effects are chest pain, discomfort or pain or burning under the ribs or in the back, swallowing difficulty and severe joint and bone pain.
