What Are The Side Effects Of Adderall?

My grandson is 10 years old and takes Adderall for ADHD. We are taking him on vacation tomorrow and he took his last pill today and has no refills. I am concerned for his health if he is off the medication for 4 consecutive days. Can you please tell me if there are health risks?Thank you

Hello!

I can understand your concern! I would advice my patients as follows:

1 Please do not stop the drug suddenly, as you may have symptoms of withdrawal. That is called Adderall crash. He may be irritated, have less sleep, depressed or excited.

2. Withdrawal symptoms come slowly and gradually. Please try to procure them early.

3. You may buy them from any big city on the way. You may call the drug stores on airports and send the snap of prescription.

Any drug in psychiatry takes 2-3 weeks for action and withdrawal.
