What Are The Safe Methods To Have An Abortion?

Hi, I just came to know that my wife is pregnant. How safe is to go for abortion? she is 26y old, she was supposed to get her menses on 14th, as she did not get we did pregnancy test which shown positive on 18th. Can you tell me how safe is to go for abortion. Thanks for your time.

Hello,
If there are no other implications, she can safely go for an induced medical abortion if you are definitely sure not to retain this pregnancy. You should consult a specialist, get a clinical evaluation and a trans-vaginal sonogram to locate the gestation sac and the age of the pregnancy, get blood counts and urinalysis. The dosage of the medication is prescribed by the specialist based on the age of gestation and the process usually takes 2-3 days. Follow up is done to exclude any retained products. Hope this helps.
