What Are The Risk Doing A Polypectomy To Remove A Polyp?

What are the risk doing a polypectomy to remove a polyp that is large and a stalk? Can I just remove the polyp and leave the stalk and what are the side effects if I leave the stalk? Is there excessive bleeding doing a polypectomy which might lead to an emergency hysterectomy?

Hi, I think if polyps stalk is thinking and long, you can tie it as above as possible and remove the polyp. But send it for histopathology as it can be malignant also. Hysterectomy can be required in some cases if bleeding is excessive.
