General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there. I have read through your question and understand your concern. Ingestion of thyroxine in a child won't cause any serious problem in children if the dose is not much . As thyroxine converts into tri iodo thyronine in the body it takes atleast two hours to show any signs if a large dose has been ingested. At present I will advise you to just observe her and if you see any signs of nausea, irritability take her to the ER. Otherwise there is nothing to worry about. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write.
