What Are The Possibilities Of Cancer If Lining Of Uterus Is Getting Thickened Rapidly?
My doctor just told me that my lining of my uterus is 11 millimeter in thickness and in may it was 7 millimeter she wants me to get a biopsy What are my chances it being cancer , since the growth was so rapid ? If its cancer then what type would it be ? Thank you very much . Natalie

Hi Natalie. This is called endometrial hyperplasia. There are so many reasons for it and not only cancer. I would like to know your age and whether you are having regular menstrual cycle or not. That is why your dr. has asked for an endometrial biopsy to scrape the extra linlng and get its histo pathology report to see if it is cancer and of what type. Usually it involves body of uterus ( Ca.endometrium) or ot is simple hyper plasia treated medically.
