What Are The Normal Levels Of TSH?

I would like information about TSH results and what is considered standard ranges. My TSH is 5.50 and my Dr. tells me I am borderline. I have taken levothyroxine 25mcg from my (retired) Dr. and then she gave me 50 mcg when my TSH was 4.12. Now I am wondering why my new Dr. says I am borderline??
