What Are The Chances Of The Granules Under The Mastectomy Scar To Be Cancerous?
In 2008 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My right breast was affected. I had a masectomy. The following year my left breast had three lumps. After a mastectomy no cancer was found. I have a breast biopsy next week on the left side as there are granules under the scar. What are the chances that I have breast cancer?

What Are The Chances Of The Granules Under The Mastectomy Scar To Be Cancerous?
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can. Notlikely but I would recommend PET scan in your case. Such bumps are commonly caused by scarring after surgery but cancer should be ruled out. I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
