What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy After Protected Sexual Intercourse?

Hi, I had sex about 8 days after ovulation, just a week ago. My period was supposed to start today but hasn't come yet. We did use a condom and he didn't ejaculate while inside but I'm always nervous there is a chance even if I'm barely late. I'd appreciate just a little peace of mind :)

Hello and thanks for your query.

I shall make an effort to provide you with good professional recommendations specific to your questions.

Based on the information provided you are less likely to be pregnant.
Irregularities in menses are common, so I would suggest you not to worry, anxiety also delays the menstruation.
One of the earliest and simplest way to know that you are pregnant or not, is by using, urine pregnancy test.

It's best to do the home pregnancy test first thing in the morning, when your urine is most concentrated and hCG levels are highest.
So I advice you to perform a test a week after missed period and with morning sample of urine. This test kits are nearly 98% accurate, so reliable.

Yet again, I duly appreciate your query to me, I do hope that you have found something useful to help you and I shall be glad to answer any further apprehensions.

Sincerely,
I find this answer helpful
