What Are The Baby's Survival Chances?

A friend of mine is around 7 weeks pregnant. She went for her scan and the Doc said that the "yolk" had pertially to fully collapsed. Fetal heartbeat was there but a little on the slow side. What are the chances that this baby could survive. Baring in mind that this is her 5 th IVF

Yes, collapsed yolk sac is not a sign of healthy pregnancy.. But this is not confirmatory.. Get a hcg blood test and repeat after 48 hrs to see for doubling time.. If doubling present, it means it is a heathy pregnancy.. Keep up the positive approach.. Let's hope for the best.. Hope I have answered your query.. good day..
