What Are The After Effects Of Early Set Menopause?

Hi Have been advised to have a TAH due to family history for cancer - ovarian with my Mother and her mother and huge risk of breast cancer too. I'm 39 and can't have HRT - not worried by the op just the after effects of early set menopause and what that can cause?

Hello madam, from the history you have given, well early menopause does have after effects, but hysterectomy in your case is advisable, as you have a strong family history of carcinoma, specially because you have first degree relatives with history of cancer wherein the advantages of undergoing hysterectomy is more than the after effects of surgical menopause. Some women experience milder side effects, some experience more like mood swings, some women experience joint pains, decrease libido in some.Change of lifestyle and family support will help a long way.hope I was helpful to you.
