What Are Recurring Headache And Blind Spots In Vision Suggestive Of?

Yesterday at 11:00 a.m., I got a headache in my left eye area and had some blind spots in my vision. The vision issue resolved within 20 minutes or so and the headache dulled after about an hour. I did not take anything for it. Today, it happened again at the same time. I took an Excedrin migraine about 10 minutes ago. My vision is fine, but my headache is really is still there. I would say it is a 5-6/10 level of pain. I have had migraines before, but it is weird that it happened two days in a row at the same time. What do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Visual symptoms are very common with migraine headaches so very likely the blind spots you were experiencing with the head are due to migraine with visual aura.
This is not something worrisome as long as the visual changes do not last or you do not have other symptoms.

I hope I have answered your query and have been helpful to you.

I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
