Cosmetic & Plastic Surgeon Dr. Sharad Mishra's  Response
Hello Kayed Modi!

Currently there are two techniques for follicular unit hair transplantation. First is the classic strip technique, where a hair bearing scalp strip is harvested and dissected into individual hair units outside the body. The second technique is FUE where individual hairs are harvested one by one directly from scalp. No stitches are required in this technique.

DHI is not a technique. It is a trade name employed by some clever marketing people. It has never been presented scientifically as anything seperate than FUE. So, your instinct is telling you the right thing.

Feel free to ask more about various techniques in hair transplant if you wish.
