Hi,
You seem to have developed herpes infection.

Since you have developed it for the first time, it would be better to start with a course of antiviral tablets right away.
You may need a course of acyclovir tablets for atleast a week.
As far as local Care is concerned, keep the affected area clean.

Apply a topical antibiotic cream over it.

Hope it helps

Dr Geetika Paul.

Hi,

There is no need to worry. Your treating doctor has diagnosed it as herpes. If i were your treating doctor i would have prescribed you tab XXXX 800 mg thrice daily with acyclovir ointment for local application. Pain and itching can be reduced by taking XXXX 5 mg daily at bed time.

Hope i answered your query.

Regards
