Thanks for choosing HCM..,
Perioral dermatitis....t is commonly caused by the use of fluorinated topical glucocorticoid steroids to this area, although it can have many other causes, including fluoride toothpastes or simply continual irritation. It is exacerbated by cosmetics, soaps, facial washes and steroid creams so use of these things on the affected area is not advisable..,
Good treatment is available...
Now U are following treatment is correct..,
But some instructions to take..,
1) Topical treatment includes antibiotics such as metronidazole and erythromycin...
The use of potent topical steroids is strictly contraindicated. However, in some cases, the initial use of a low-potency corticosteroid (eg, hydrocortisone cream) may be appropriate....,
The use of cosmetics, cleansers, and moisturizers should be avoided during treatment...,
2) Cap Nudoxy is nothing but Doxycycline , drug of choice for Perioral dermatitis..,
alternatively Isotretinoin, erythromycin, Minocycline also useful..,
3) provoking factors can be determined, they should be avoided....,
So consult good dermatologist ...thanQ

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

I have gone through your query.

Do not worry. You are on Right medicines. Nudoxy capsules contains Doxycycline which help in treating acne and dermatitis. Nudoxy will improve the condition.

More over there is one more condition to be ruled out in case of peri orofacial dermatitis i.e.,Zinc Deficiency.

Zinc Deficiency also leads to peri Orofacial dematitis.
Taking Multivitamin tablets ( Especially which have high zinc content like Zincovit) along with the present medicines should help you.

Using an Emollient cream containing LactoCalamine alone or in combination with liquid paraffin will alleviate the itching and irritation due to dermatitis.

Wish you a speedy recovery.

Take Care
