Variable Pregnancy Test Results. Have Morning Sickness, High HCG Levels. Why Is Due Date Changed?
I tested for pregnancy with a first reponse test kit on the 24th of August and it was negative, then on the 26th I got a very faint second line after an early morning urination. Then on the 28th I got a blood test from my doctor and she said I was "VERY" early pregnancy and could not get scanned until at least September 5th because there would be nothing. So on September 6th I got a scan expecting to be 6 weeks.
At my scan I was informed I was only 5 weeks and 3 days, even less than I thought I was, that was fine, I started counting thinking due date was May 11th.
Last week I went for my 12 week scan and the usual person was being covered by a temp. The temp then measured baby and said baby was too big for 12 weeks and I had to be at least 8 days more advanced putting me closer to 14 weeks. She wants to change my due date.
Because I was early on my test and blood test I can't understand this at all. Is it possible that I just have a big baby? I have been very heavily morning sick and my hcg levels were high.

Hi, as you describe it appears that you had sex on 5th august, and tested for pregnancy on 24th of august. It very early to be positive. the second one with the first urine was on 26th faintly positive. On 28th you had blood test as it is 25 days duration it will be very tiny.
The problem is with the scan in 12 weeks, it is looking 14 weeks size, but it should be decided depending upon the details of conception product like embryo, yolk sac, heart beat. Upto this variation it is O.K. if the proportion increases, you may have to go for other tests, to find any abnormalities. Thank you.
