Variable Heart Beats, Breathlessness. What Could It Be?

Hello, I have been having what feels like a huge thud in my chest every so often and it feels like my heart stops. Sometimes I also get short of breath with this, but not every time. I am of normal body weight, jog regularly and have no significant medical history. This does not happen when I jog, mostly when I am siting still. What could it be?

Hi,

It could be anything in your heart. It can be myocardial ischaemia, arrhythmia, ectopic beats, conduction defects.

Please get an EKG, stress test, ECHO of your heart to look for the above mentioned problems.

Hope this helps.

All the best.

Regards,
