Use Advair For Asthma, Have To Gasp For Air, Get Huge Migraines, Sudden Vision Blurring. What Is Going On ?

Hi, I need help. I'm having a lot of issued right now, I don't know what's going on. I have asthma, and I use my Advair inhaler everyday. But, a few nights ago I was perfectly fine one second, and then next second I couldn't breathe. I had to gasp for air, I thought I was having an anxiety attack, but nothing bad was happening; and that's never happened before. It lasted about five minutes, and then went away. But even now I have to take a lot more deeper breaths than usual. Also, earlier today I was using the bathroom, and sometimes when I get huge migraines, I feel like I'm in a complete dimension. I had no headache when I went into the bathroom, I was completely fine, but as I was in use, for about five seconds I felt out of place. My whole body went cold, I was shaking, and my vision blurred and I saw two of everything. After about five seconds, I returned back to normal and nothing happened. It's really stressing me out, what is going on?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since , how many days , you are taking ADVAIR inhaler as the ingredients are beta agonist+corticosteroids.
Now your main complaint is same breathlessness and cessation of breath.
In my opinion consult a physician and get in complete examination of heart and blood for anemia and calcium ( if corticosteroids uses for long time may cause calcium depletion and this causes such type of symptoms).
Good luck.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
Since asthma, migraine, black outs, gasp for air, tremors, there may be constant cycles of vascular events like vaso constriction, dilatation with hypoxemia. Take regular treatment for asthma(inhalational steroid) to prevent any hypoxemia which may be the caues for all. Get evaluated for your heart once and keep emergency medicine like salbutamol inhaler always with you and also drug for migraine. Get done complete lipid profile, blood glucose level once. Consult your doctor for examination and management.
Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.

Regards
Dr. Lohit
